What better way to end the day than with a tart from the bakery and some beautiful fresh giant gerbera daisies.
I had time between appointments. So I went for a walk in the heart of downtown Toronto. This is a constuction site on University Avenue. There is construction everywhere you turn.
And I walked up to Queen’s Park. Our provincial legislature building. It is solid, immense and beautiful.
I visited on an eventful day. Quiet in the morning when I was there. But at dinner hour, our Premier of the Province of Ontario, announced his resignation. You can imagine all the excitement, the media, the jostling and the emotion.
I had a medical appt downtown yesterday morning – early – the sun was just starting to rise. Thought I would make the whole thing more enjoyable by bringing my camera and shooting whatever I could. A day in the life of Jane you could say.
This is on the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) heading into downtown.
The second photo is on University, looking north, with the very pretty Canada Life building on the left.
The drive was quite good, as I left early, but that was just lucky too, because it can jam up for no reason at all. There were very big winds this morning, gusting up to 60Km an hour.
A very busy day .
All photos taken while stopped in traffic, with the D700 and a 35mm lens. Just point and shoot.
Especially when they have buttons down the front. I have quite a collection and add more whenever I see one that I like.
This one I purchased the other day on my shopping excursion. It came from Talbots, yes the tag says it all , and it is made of wool. Natural fibers is one of my must haves for it to make it into my wardrobe. Lace is still so big this year and this is perfect as an updated sweater. Of course, I can pair this with almost anything, casual or with classic dress pants. I do have a pair of burgundyish dress pants that I plan to wear with this pretty sweater.
Another find that I love that I wanted to share with you.
Have a great Saturday! 🙂
I went shopping yesterday afternoon. Haven’t been to the big mall since the spring. All sorts of new shops opening, like Tiffany’s . A new Stuart Weitzman shoe shop, fabulous patent leather shoes – shoe candy!
Please excuse the missing casings etc…undergoing some house renovations that have been in progress for a while.
This is a new hat that I purchased yesterday. Love leopard. And look at Boucle, he had to be in the shot. What a sweetie-pie.
