…roses and tea…………

Three roses remain. The rest have drooped. So sad to see the last of them, but what happiness they brought me.  This will be the last of my roses photos from this beautiful bouquet.

Used SB800 Flash with umbrella, camera right as they were backlit alot –  and F3 to get the shallow DOF, framed in camera.

…in the shadow of the light…….

I picked up some beautiful long stemmed pink roses this week to lift my spirits while we are in the deep freeze.  Today is the last day of the deep freeze and Boucle will enjoy returning to longer walks tomorrow.

I wanted to capture the feeling of winter sunshine streaming through the window.  Hope you enjoy.

Have a great day! 🙂

…lady with leopard coat……….

No time to take pictures this week. Very busy with work. I just love taking photos, playing with them, and printing them.  And I miss it when I can’t.   Finally yesterday, I was able to take some time to put this together.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Used one SB800 Flash in a shoot through umbrella, triggered by D700, camera right.

….blue skies…….soft and wispy…….beautiful blue day…..

Another image from our gorgeous springlike January Saturday.

Had the 35mm on.  Was trying to capture the lone swan in the lower right.  He was not too far away, but the 35mm shows him as far away.

Loved the wispiness of the clouds…..what a fabulous day.

…flattened grasses……..

What an extraordinary day  it was yesterday .  Boucle and I headed to the lake to take advantage of a record 14.6C, no wind.  A winter’s day in January!

A day like yesterday makes the winter seem just a bit shorter.

Almost all the snow has  melted and flattened the grasses at the Lake,  forming small pillowy tufts.

We spent hours outside  enjoying the day……..
