Alex Colville passed away at home last Tuesday, at the age of 92.

His paintings were shown throughout the world and he was known for capturing simple moments of everyday life.

One of his works is titled “To Prince Edward Island” painted in 1965.  It is a woman with binoculars at sea looking at the viewer.

At the lake today, I saw this man with binoculars and thought of Mr. Colville.

…the beginning of the storm that rolled through…….

We had a fierce line of thunderstorms roll through yesterday evening.  Tornado watches were in effect for big swatches just north of me.  This is the line of the first storm clouds as they passed overhead.  On the right, the nice day leaving, and then… the dark clouds……..

This is one of the same families from the lake in my last goose image.  The goslings are now getting quite big, though still a bit smaller than the adults.

…summer…….

_JAS4545--3WEB-Soft-pink-roses---summer

We’ve had more and more rain.  Yesterday it was beautiful.  Today back to rain.  For the next two weeks, long term forecast is for rain, lots of it.

This makes me feel happy and summer.

This is available as a fine art print.
